This interactive session will get you thinking about your financial future including paying for college, banking basics and the results of your personal financial decisions. Students will enhance their personal/professional development skills by learning the art of conversation, networking, personal action planning, and developing their brand.
TIME: 7:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: Newport on the Levee (community room)
ATTIRE: Business Casual; Closed-Toed Shoes
OBJECTIVES: Encourage students to begin thinking about their financial future and the results of their personal financial decisions. Provide information on banking services and concepts, balancing, spending and saving. Consider ways to use and not abuse available credit. Discuss college costs with local college financial aid directors. Provide opportunities to improve professional skills such as networking, developing a personal brand, goal setting, social capital, and developing the art of conversation.
